I’m getting so excited about my thesis that I had to share some of it with you whilst I am still working on it- here’s a little jist of where i am going with it all…

‘Ulay stitches his mouth shut whilst Abramavic talks for him. Stelarc hangs suspended from meat hooks which pierce his flesh. Eriwin Olaf present a family clad entirely in latex. Cathy De Monchaux traps visceral flesh-like folds between harsh torturous metal devices. And Chris Burden is shot in the arm. These are art pieces, they have been exhibited or performed in galleries and purchased, applauded and digested, but more importantly accepted by the art world. These works can be read about in educational arts books, they are condoned. Yet each of these pieces have a fetishistic, sadistic or masochistic aspect to them, though within each of these works the choice of content has an alternative explanation. These acts or images are used as parables of politics or social issues, personal pain, alienation and so on. They toy with the contractual and the transgressive but, they are still allowed back across the line as artists opposed to being condoned as perverse. I am certain this is because though they utilise the taboo in their work they purport to do so objectively, from a stance of distance and considered choice rather than driven passion. Here the difference lies between the artist and the fetishist. ‘

Club RUB hoe down!

Well in August here in London town we had quite a hoe down! Miss KIM of Club RUB, threw a Cowboys, Indian’s and Mexican Day of the Dead themed party! We had a pinate and even some human ponies!! Jan and myself went as leather cowboys and he even made me my own lynching noose- which twisted the idea suitably so that I really liked the outfit as soon as this accessory was added- I do have a soft spot for neck based rope suspensions! All in all we had a wonderful night with friends old and new! The Swan makes for a intimate party and this combined with Kim’s legendary hospitality made for a perfect night!

Last week I went out to the beautiful green land of Bavaria where the sun hides when she’s not in London! But no, I didn’t go to find the sun- I went to shoot with the amazing Anna and Uwe Rose for Alterpic.com and my what fun was had! Now, as you all know I identify as submissive, but every once in a while its nice to meander down to London’s finest Fem Dom night Club Pedestal and be pampered and catch up with friends. And Last month I did not only that but I also took to the stage! I’d been invited to perform there several month’s earlier so had plenty of time to devise an appropriate performance- Ritualized Skin. I worked hard with my co performer- Tareq to create a magical scene of decadence and devotion, goddess and mortal- with a perverted twist. Here are some snaps from the performance which went down very well and as for the twist- lets just say we were paying homage to the moon goddess…;)

Rubber Cult performance at Club Antichrist

Last month was Club Antichrist’s 8th Birthday and so to help their event go with a bang they called in Rubber Cult to bless the proceedings and cleanse the congregation. So we performed a penitential parade and holy cleansing with auto flagellation and hot wax blessings.

We will be teaming up with Esinem for our next Antichrist performance at their Vampire Ball on the 30th of August. Puppy Pride

On the 7th it was London’s Gay Pride march and party and a fellow pervert on the London Scene had volunteered to organize a section of the march to be peopled with human puppies and their handlers! I really enjoy Gay Pride events and feel there is a lot to be celebrated and to march for so I was very pleased to be invited to take part in the march. Naturally I slipped on my catsuit, my ballet heels and my puppy gear and headed down the wet London streets for a day of barking, yapping and howling! My good friend Nyx came as my handler and we had a fantastic time, even though the weather was poor- With the amount of rain we are having in England at present is is not surprising that rubber is seen as a particularly English affection. We were a colorful crowd though I was the only female pup and we even had a human pony amongst our ranks, and all the pups were very hardy as we crawled most of the way along the march route.
I wore my catsuit with ballet heels and knee pads, my ankles fastened to my thighs with cuffs and I wore customised croc clogs on my forepaws to protect them on the long walk. This was a fantastic set up which not only looked very sexy but enabled me to crawl quite comfortably throughout the march.
We were very well received, from the leather men to tourist’s children everyone was pleased to see us, snapping photographs and petting the puppies. But most notably, the national treasure, Stephen Fry came walking along the march and was very impressed with the puppies and took the time to shake hands with Nyx and the organizer of our pack. Yes we were all very pleased!
The march was great fun and part way along I transformed into a two legged rubber kat and started chasing the pups around, creating more mayhem which was captured by camera crews of a new BBC 4 comedy show- keep your eyes peeled! I was very pleased to scout out the beautiful Hedwig amounts the crowds and got to dart in for a quick snog before the parade continued. We made out way to Trafalgar Square as the skies dried and were quickly ambushed by a far right TV crew who wanted to interview us, we obliged but left quickly once they began comparing gay marriage to incest. So it was off to China Town for a quick lunch before going back to Nyx’s to recover after a day well done.
